On 5/19/2026, Nute High School Community Health and Wellness Fair will be partnering with Who We Play For to offer life-saving electrocardiogram (ECG) heart screenings for all students.
DID YOU KNOW?
● 1 in 300 youth have a potentially life-threatening, detectable heart condition that could lead to Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
● Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the #1 killer on school campuses and in student-athletes.
● A regular physical misses these conditions 96%-99% of the time.
● A 5 minute, non-invasive ECG catches these conditions 80%-96% of the time.
To learn more about what a heart screening looks like, watch this video https://youtu.be/WF8SlXw-Dxc

On May 5th, high school students will participate in an in-school presentation during their English classes led by Jacob Hardwick, Investigator with the New Hampshire Liquor Commission Division of Enforcement, Licensing, & Education.
This session will focus on alcohol and tobacco education, including the real-life risks and consequences of underage use, decision-making, peer pressure, and how students can navigate challenging situations safely.
As we approach prom and graduation season, this timing is intentional. These events can increase exposure to high-risk situations, and providing students with accurate information and practical strategies is an important step in supporting their safety and well-being.
We encourage families to continue these conversations at home.
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

We’re excited to announce that “Who We Play For” will be joining us to offer Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) screenings for student athletes! 🩺
Why register your athlete? Sudden cardiac arrest is the leading cause of death in young athletes, but a simple, painless ECG can help detect hidden heart conditions. The scan is quick—just 5 minutes—and is non-invasive.
Each ECG is reviewed by a board certified pediatric cardiologist.
Cost: $20 per screening
Make your athlete’s health a priority! Register today for peace of mind and a safer season ahead. 💙
Spread the word and let’s keep our students healthy and active!
