Students will attend classes but it will be a study hall and support day. They can spend this time preparing for upcoming exams, finishing projects, or making up missing work. Middle School will run a regular schedule.
If you are not sending your student to school to attend please contact us to let us know and the absence will be waived.
Thank you

Join us at the softball field tomorrow for our Softball Senior Night vs. Hinsdale. Senior announcements at 3:45, game at 4:00.

Thank you to all who participated in our student run Memorial Day Assembly this morning. The student speakers, guest speaker, Linda Richards, Middle School Chorus, and High School Band did an amazing job honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Senior Amber Dunkel and Junior Emma Aiton concluded the assembly with an echo of Taps that lead to a moment of silence before students headed to class.

There will be a Farmington-Nute Football information night at Nute for grades 4-8 on Wednesday May 28th at 6pm.

Attention Milton School District families. In observance of Memorial Day, there will be no school for Milton School District students on Monday, May 26th. We honor and remember those who sacrificed their lives while serving so that we can live in freedom.

Dear Families,
Today, Collin Trethen, a Senior a Nute, passed away after a long fought battle with cancer. We are all deeply saddened by this loss. The school has behavioral health management procedures in place to help your children with their reactions to this tragedy. Our school guidance department and administration have been working closely with counselors from DBHRT to talk with your children and answer their questions. Your child may have some unresolved feelings that he/she would like to discuss with you. You can help your child by listening carefully, not overreacting, accepting his/her feelings and answering questions honestly according to your beliefs. It is important to let them know their feelings, concerns and reactions are normal and that they will experience a number of emotions over the next few days and weeks If you have any additional questions or concerns feel free to contact me directly at the school.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Leavitt
Principal

Dear Parents and Caregivers,
May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to recognize the importance of emotional well-being for children, teens, and families alike.
This month serves as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health. As children and teens navigate the demands of school, social relationships, and personal growth, it’s normal for them to experience stress or emotional ups and downs. The good news is that with support, understanding, and healthy coping strategies, they can't build resilience and thrive.
To help support your child—and your own well-being—I’ve attached a list of practical coping strategies you can use at home. These tools are simple, adaptable, and can make a meaningful difference in managing stress, improving communication, and fostering a positive home environment.
If you ever have concerns about your child’s mental health or need additional support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help.
Thank you for being a vital partner in support ing the well being of our students.
Misty Riley, CMHC
Student Assistance Counselor
